If the pro prletors-of that mill succeed others will be built In its section, and as the mills Increase in number, enlarging' the home demand .for w heat, more of this grain will be sown. There is no reason why North Carolina mills should not turn oat as good flour ?? the people want. It used to be done in olden times, before the people abandoned growing- wheat through c'epeni'lng ?? i Western wheal Ileitis and Western flour mills in order that they migbt devote all their energies to raising cotton. In piedmont North Carolina the number of mills, includ ing steam roller mills, is even now considerable. The high price of cotton, instead of causing fhe farmers to increase acreage and go In for nothing bm cotton, should have the opposite ef fect.
