C., where j he was released. In the early evening Jolly was | engaged to carry the men to j I Tabor City, a distance of about 13 miles. Arriving there they told | Jolly their destination was a few miles further on. Out from Tabor I City on the Green Sea Road the jtaxi man was ordered to stop. j Alighting from the car, one of the men drew a revolver and pressed it against Jolly's ribs, in- | forming him "This is a hold-up; j hand over your money." The taxi \ driver gave them $5 or $6, all I the money he carried at this time. They returned to the car, with one of the robbers taking the steering wheel, while the ! other sat directly behind Jolly. Through Green Sea, Nichols, DilJlon and Bennettsville they drove. Out from Bennettsrville a few miles the gas supply exhausted. Hie machine was abandoned and Jolly was forced to march ahead j j of the robbers about a mile. He was carried into the forest and I | left unharmed save from fright. A passing motorist later carried Jolly to Bennettsville, where j the sheriff of Marlboro County ; was informed of the occurrence | and began work on the case. Mr. Jolly is confident he can identify the men in case of arrests. At |last reports no arrests had been made.
