Jack McEachern, of Wilmington, is on an extended visit with relatives at Seaside. Mrs. C. O. Bridger and family of Bladenboro are spending the week at the club house. Little Bertha Lee Pierce is recuperating after an appendix operation at the Brunswick County hospital. Mr. W. W. Schulken, of Whiteville, has remodeled his cottage into a larger one at Gause Landing. Mrs. Ruby P. Canady, of Tabor and Mrs. Oscar Knox, of Clinton, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Sabilton, Jr., Sunday. Mrs. F. F. Shores and Mrs. Overcash, of Monroe, are guests at the Seaside Cottage this week. The dredge "Talcott," which is cleaning out the inland waterway, is now a mile below Sea Side, going toward Little River. It is moving along the coast quickly. WRECKED YACHT Capt. W. H. Floyd and sons are remodeling their shrimp boat. Capt. Floyd fell heir to a wrecked yacht "Queria II" which was 1 wrecked about two weeks ago on Brooks Beach. The boat was partly made of mahogany and was owned by Mr. Crowell, of Crowell Chemical Company, of XT T Mr On INeW fiuuicriuiu, u. * ??. well, his brother-in-law and a negro were en route from Miami to New York when they ran ashore while trying to come in Tubbs Inlet to Seaside and continue their voyage by the canal.
