Parker of Farmville, Mrs Mary Weatherly of Franklin, anc Mrs. Clyde Fitzgerald. They enjoyed the afternoon boat riding and later were guests at a picnic supper. FISHING PARTY Dr. and Mrs. W. S. Dosher entertained a fishing party on the Josephine Marshall Saturday afternoon. Those enjoying the trip were: Dr. and Mrs. Fred Faye of Wilmington, Dr. Easom of the State sanitorium, Mr. Hill of Wilmington, Mr. Park Winslow of New York and Mr. and Mrs. A H. Marshall. TWINS MEET ON VACATION Guy Garrett is home from Dutch East India Island for a six-weeks visit. He is with the Standard Oil Company there and has signed up for two years longer. Vernon Garrett, a twin brother, is also home spending several weeks. He leaves for his home in Baltimore next Saturday. , FISH SUPPER The Garrett family enjoyed a fish supper as Caswell Beach on Saturday night. They were very happy to have with them Guy Garrett, who has been away from the states several years and other relatives and friends. IN HOSPITAL Sam Newton, elderly Southport citizen, was taken to the Brunswick county hospital Monday afternoon in a serious condition following a stroke. Little change had been noted in his health Tuesday night. ON EXTENDED TRIP Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ruark left Saturday for an extended trip to New York, Providence, R. I., Boston, Mass., and other places in the north. NEWTON BABY HOME AGAIN Mr. Sam Newton, Mr. Alfred Newton and Mrs. Ed Norment have returned from Jihns Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, where they took Mr. Alfred's little son for treatment. Personal Mr. Joe Jelks will come Satur day after attending summei school at Wake Forest. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Marshal and Miss Emma Thompson spent Thursday in Wilmington. Mrs. J. W. Ruark and Miss Estelle Willis spent Tuesday ii Wilminston. Mrs. Robert Jones and chil ren spent last week in their cot tage at Caswell Beach.
