Veazey and son of Wilmington visited Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dosher here Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wilkins and little daughter, Jane, of Rose Hill, spent the past week-end here with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gill. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Dosher and son, of Wilmington, spent Sunday afternoon here with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dosher. Mr. and Mrs. C. Ed. Taylor and B. J. Holden left Monday morning for Charlotte and Salisbury. Mrs. Taylor will visit her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Kiddoo, in Charlotte while the men attend a business meeting for the Junior Order in Salisbury. Dr. and Mrs. William Dosher and family of Wilmington visited Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Dosher here Sunday afternoon. Edward Taylor left last week for New York City where he will attend the World's Fair. Mrs. Mary B. Yaskell, Miss Stacy Yaskell, A. F. Yaskell and Sonny Yaskell are visiting Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Yaskell for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Hubbard spent a few days in Hardeeville, S. Miss Esther ; Lee Norris, a member of the nursing staff at Dosher Memorial Hospital, Sunday afternoon. Miss Anne Mae Dosher, member of the staff at Dosher Memorial Hospital, is on vacation. Jimmie Burris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Burris of Lakeland. Fla., has returned home following a 3-weeks visit here with his aunts, Mrs. W. G. Butler and Mrs. L. Leiner. Mrs. L. Leiner and Mrs. Kathcrine Leiner and son, Allen, left Monday morning for a 2-weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Leiner in Paducah, Ky. C. W. Barry, clerk at Leggett's is spending this week in Georgia visiting relatives. Miss Maude Galloway anil Mrs. Mamie Wilson of Washington, D. C., visited Mrs. George P. Howey here last week. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Crapon returned today from Black Mountain where they have spent the past two weeks on their vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Gatlin returned home Wednesday from Raeford, where they have been spending most of the summer. They were accompanied by Mr. Gatlin's sister, Mary Helen Gatlin. Miss Aradella Long visited her sister in Myrtle Beach, S. C., last week. He was reported to have drowned about 2 o'clock Monday afternoon while playing about a boat in the inland waterway.
