The sixth grade received a let- i ter from a little boy in Exeter, ( Nebraska, telling about where he 1 lived and what his school was i like. He asked that some of the1 pupils answer it telling about what we do here. Miss Wclborn, ? our teacher, (decided that, the en- t tire class would write 'him "and c choose about ten of the best let- f ters to send. We decided that the j very best letter would have a picture of the class in it. We1 have been very busy writing these [ I letters. i f The sixth grade had its third i Citizenship Club meeting Mon- s day, November 13. During the t business meeting we elected a 4 new vice-president, Sally Ann Mc- Neil, in place of Carol Johnson, who has moved away. We also . decided upon our pledge. During the program told us about "Co- ' operation is Necessary for Good Citizenship". We have our meeting every other Monday. WE OBSERVE THAT The ninth grade history class is very much interested in their subject? The Decline of the Roman Empire. They are comparing it in some ways with the European conflict of today. The dramatic club deserves a lot of credit for their fine performance last Friday night. The teachers are taking an interest in bowling. Some of the boys and girls did a nice job in cleaning the gym. Our basketball season opens with a real show in store when the faculty and the fat men will be the opponents. (By Joe V. Christian) ODDS AND ENDS The girls and boys of the two basketball teams have improved greatly. They are beginning to learn the art and skill of the game. Each day the team members shoot twenty-five fouls. Jack Christian has the high score as a result of dropping in twentynnp nut nf twpntv-fivo The teams will get new warm- j up suits this year. We are not only going to have a good team but also a nice looking team. Everyone is cordially invited1 to the basketball game this Thursday night at 7:30 o'clock. It will be a double header. The girls play the teachers and the boys play the fat men. Come one; come all; and enjoy yourselves. CLUBS AND CLASSES The Outdoor Girls are progressing all the while. They are planning on entertaining the Aviation boys one night soon and an account of the event will follow I later.
