that by virtue of said execution, and
by virtue of the decree at the March
Term Superior Court, Brunswick
County, N. C., that I will on Monday,
September 9th., 1940, at 12:00
o'clock noon, sell at the court house
door, Southport, N .C., to the highest
bidder for cash to satisfy said
execution, all the right, title, interest
and estate, which the defendant

in North West Township, Brunswick
County, N. C.:
FIRST: In Northwest Township, on
the south-west side of the Cape Fear
River, bounded and more particularly
described as follows: (A) BEGINNING
on the southwest side of the
Cape Fear River at low water mark
at Joseph Watters upper corner, and
running thence south 22 east 450
poles to a stake in Big Bay, thence
J s uth 48 west 300 poles to a lightwood
stake; thence along the Gibbs
or unknown tract of land to Joseph
Williams' corner; thence along his
line with its various courses to the
Cape Fear River, and as it meanders
to the BEGINNING, containing 40d
acres, more or less.
SECOND: BEGINNING at a holly
tree in Henry Williams' upper corner.
running thence with his line
south 400 poles to a stake, thence
north 63 east 112 poles to a stake
in Hannah Lock's line thence with
her line north 340 poles to the
river; thence down the river as it
meanders to the first station, containing
300 acres, more or less, and
being two of the several tracts of
land conveyed by Gore Estate Corporation
to L. B. Rogers, Jr., by
deed August 10, 1927, recorded in Book
