An account was made of the District Federation in Wilming ton. Plans were made for observing National Home Demonstration Week in May. The beautification of the New Hope church grounds t was decided or <s a project. Garden and poultry notes were j presented and this was followed with general discussions about poultry. Miss Corinne Greene demonstr- j alted the preparation of food for freezer lockers. All present show ed quite an interest in this sub ject. Present at the meeting were, Miss Greene, Misses Bertha and Jcsie Reid, Mrs. G. T. Reid and | daughter, Betty and Jean, Mrs. Sarah Kye, Mrs. E. W. Taylor, J Mrs. A. P. Henry, Jr., and Miss j Kate Johnson. Mrs. Henry served delicous re-1 freshments. Feeling they had spent j a pleasant and profitable time to- j gether the club members ad-; journed to meet with Miss Josie Reid in May. Mrs. Register Is Club Hostess The Shallotte Village Home Demonstration club met with Mrs. Wilbur Register, the first Monday in April. The meeting was called to or der by the vice-president, Mrs. Burt Williams. The club mem bers sang "The Old North State" and repeated the Collect of the Club Women of America. The roll was called and the minutes of the last meeting were read by Mrs. William Usher, the secretary. One new member was added to the club. Pains for Federation Day were discussed and transportation ar rangements made. Miss Corinne Greene, home agent, gave .a very interesting and helpful demonstration on preparing food at home for freez ing. Miss Lettie Sellers read the poultry notes for April and Mrs. Alex Williams, recreation leader, led in the playing of a number of games.
