PERSONALS Miss Jane Hood has returned to her home in Newport News after spending a week here with; her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. I M. M. Hood. C? after spend ing a week at Long Beach with Mrs. Lawrence's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Cromer. Dicky Stafford has returned to his home at Dillon, S. C., after spending several weeks at Long Beach with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Cromer. ENTERTAIN GUESTS Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Arrington entertained informally Thursday evening at their cottage at Long Beach in honor of their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Col-1 lette. The friendship of these I couples dates back to the time J when both families were station ed in the Canal Zone with the Standard Oil Company. About forty guests called during the evening. Mr. and Mrs. William C. T AW- VISIT HOME , Mrs. Lillie Britt and her two children, Joyce and Geraldine, j from Petersburg, Va., spent last week with her aunt, Mrs. Harry Davis, at Supply. Mrs. Britt was born and reared in Brunswick j county but moved away around 25 or 30 years ago. This was her first trip back. VISITED AT BEACH Led by Lee Greer, Clerk of Superior Court of Columbus county, several young Whiteville men spent Saturday and Sunday at Long Beach. Mr. Sawyer is also planning j to build as soon as possible. Both men were very much impressed, with the safe beach feature, com-' bined with the sport fishing to be had here. They believe that Long Beach and the whole of the Brunswick county coast is poised on the springboard, set for a wonderful development as1 a summer playground.
