ON LEAVE Floyd Lindbergh Lewis is home for forty-five days with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Lewis of Supply. He has been serving in the Merchant Marine for the past three years. K HOME OX LEAVE Hubert Keith Brittian serving In the Navy, now stationed in California, spent the past two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brittian, of Bolivia. HERE ON VISIT Lt. and Mrs. R. F. Reed and ycung son visited friends at the Navy Section Base during the week end. Lt. Reed is former commanding officer of the base located at Ft. Caswell. VISITORS Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Walton and son. L. N. Walton, of Bolivia, and daughter. Mrs. Grove# McPherson, of Whiteville. visited Mr. and Mrs. Walton's daughter and grand daughter. Mrs. Ida Arnold, of Ashley Heights, and Mrs. Edith Galloway, of McCain last Sunday. VISIT SOI'THPORT Mr. and Mrs. Philip Golden of Manito, 111., were guests of Gib son Collins and daughter, Lillian, part of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Golden motored down to North Carolina and Southport to visit friends whom they got to know while Mr. Golden was stationed with the Coast Guard here dur ing the war. Mrs. Golden came to Southport as a bride. FIXE CATCH i Fishing on the shoals late one afternoon this week following a i regular trip, Mr. and Mrs. George i Gregory, Miss Sue La Olaire, of Charlotte, Skippy Stiller and Jim mie Smith caught 69 "large blue fish. They were on the boat Joy, belonging to the Gregory's, and were fishing only two hours. ! RETURNING THIS MONTH Leaving Sunday after three weeks at their cottage at Long Beach, Congressman and Mrs. C. B. Deane, of Rockingham, stated that they expected to return for another vacation about the 15th of September.
