Vacation Bible School Closes Sharon Methodist Church Completed First Vacation Bible School In History Second Week In June Sharon Methodist church of the Shallotte oharge located near the Holden's Beach had it's first Bible school the second week In June. The pastor, Rev. R H. Caudill. assisted by the Sunday school supeMndent, had the school in charge. The teachers for the young people were Mrs. Irene Taylor, Mrs. J. M. Roach, Mrs. Carvin Roach, Mrs. Edward Caison and Mrs. Marshall Roaoh. The school had good attendance even through the rainy weather. On the closing evening of the school a picnic supper was ser ved, which seemed to be enjoyed by all. Prizes were given for the best work among the. students. The teachers did a splendid work and the children seemed to appre ciate their kindness and efforts by giving their cooperation and working together. The Rev. Mr. Caudill, assisted by Mrs Sam Lewis, taught a class of adults. Each member of the class should experience a better understating of what it means to be a Christian. Hie Rev. Mr. Caudill urged each member to forget self when work ing for Christ and the church. "For a church to grow, all of the members must be Included in the church, and come together as one large family in love and fel lowship," he declared.
