Russ was hostess on Wednesday evening, June 22, at her home . in Shallotte at a miscellaneous shower hon oring Miss Lois Formy-Duval, bride-elect of July 6. The home was beautifully decorated through out with mixed summer flowers. During the evening contests were enjoyed by the guests, prizes being won by Miss Formy-Duval, honoree, and Mrs. Harold Milliken. BIG LITTER Twelve Poland-China pigs were farrowed last week by a young sow owned by Willard H. Red wine of Shallotte. This is a good record for a first litter. With only 11 fountains from which to nour-1 ish her brood, the sow is said to be doing well with her family by | setting a second table.
