The B-Hiue BY TWO 3ETTYS There have been a lot of hap-! penings around Bolivia school this week and after you read this column we think you will agree with us. * The juniors had a wonderful time Thursday night out at the Carolina Drive-In where they saw "Gone with the Wind". Although It is an old picture none of them I had seen it before. * The junior boys and girls cer tainly have a big grin on their Jfcces this week. The reason is, they choae the rings they wanted J and ordered them. That is really something to grin about, Folks! The seniors got busy, too, and placed the order for their grad- J uation invitations. That makes graduation time seem to be draw- J ing nearer. last Thursday afternoon saw the sophomores off to an enjoy able afternoon down at Wrights Iville Beach. Although the weather was rather chilly, they said the j water was fine. After taking a swim in the afternoon they had a picnic consisting mostly of chic ken. Then the tired, chilled, but happy group, returned home to look forward to another beach ; party later in the year. I The 7th graders, along with (their teacher journeyed to Pretty jPond Thursday afternoon. We> hear they had a nice time. j ? The junior class is sponsoring a movie every two weeks. These" movies are very intertainiag. The,: type of show is not limited to westerns and comedies, but dur ing the year the pictures will be! almost every type. The first of: the series of movies .was shown Tuesday lugnt at the school gym. It was "Pot of Gold", a musical, starring PauleUe Goddard and Jimmy Stewart. That is just a sample of what they are going to ; show. So come on out every Mon day night and see a good movie. The next to be shown will he on October 10. i Seen around the sampus: Junior class with their new test books, "ft* Reactors J&igest" . . Mir. Evenson dressed up Tuesday fpr the teachers sneeting that night . . Mack Johnson finally giving an oral report in class . . Bus drivers getting their reports ready Wednesday for that check . . Cora Rabon, senior of '49, visit ing school Thursday . . J. W. Co.lA.WP becoming an .artist in citizenship class . . We are yery sorry to learn that Mrs. Pearl Sullivan and Mrs. Douglas Hawes have resigned from their job in the school lunchroom. Mrs. Sulli van was with us last year and Mrs. Hawes is with us for the first tune. Mrs. Sullivan will be gin work at Robert Sullivan's Cafe at Winnabow. ? '? Sports: Well at last basketball practice will start this coming Monday. Activity period is once again a reality. W almost. So far the schedule -tv the basketball games has not been worked out; however we are still looking for ward t,p a great season this year. This year, ye are very glad to have witn us most of the players from last year. They are for the girls Alberta Skipper. Verna Wil letts, Edith Purvis, Sylvia Leon ard, Doris Danford. Elizabeth Johnson, Harrictte Yount, Emma Rae McDowell, Patsy Cai9on tCnd E16ise Sellers. For the boys Hugh Danford, Avon Earp, Jack Gilbert, Paul Howard, Charles Leonard, George Henry Lanier, Worth Mer cer, Lindsay Walton, Guy Wil letts and Larry Lewis. A large number of freshmen are expected to try out for both the boy's and girl's team. With all of those players, a coach, plenty of prac tice, sportsmanship, co-operation and plenty of games this should be a year to remember in sports, That about ends the news for this week, ? Folks. Look for us next week, because we'll be back again. LONG DOCKET AT Continued From Page One William Rexford Wiggins, reck less operation, capias.
