The game i ended with a score of 32 to 12 i in favor of the team. The boys j chose teams among themselves | which were called the "shirts" j 1 and "skins." The shirts won by i a score of 33 to 23. Even though I all the teams were from Shal-1 lotte, you could quickly see that | everyone had already gained the , spirit usually shown later in the ' season. I | The "Jolly Roger" staff met ; Wednesday in the typing room. ; Ads were made and plans were j discussed about the price of the ' ads and pictures for the annual. ! Instead as it was last year ! it is to be silver with a dark J shade of purple for the" picture ; and printing on the front. The Senior Beta Club also had a meeting on Wednesday. They j are just beginning to organize j for this year. I Thursday and Friday pictures were taken for the annual. The boys were recognized by the ties they wore and the girls?well, we won't mention them. Best of all the photographer gave away free combs. Thursday afternoon the Loris junior varsity beat the Shallotte junior varsity 27 to 7 at Loris. Joe Carter accounted for the touch down. I In the game at Myrtle Beach I Friday night Shallotte lost by a score of 31 to 0. , Next week we will have the list of all the class officers for the high school. The Glee Club has elected as their officers: Bunky Bellamy, president; Geral dine Cox, vice president and Se lene Register secretary-treasurer.
