The most absured sermon is that there is no God. Mature minds may be little af fected by the claims of those About whom the Psalmist says "the fool hath said in his heart: there is no God" (Psalms 13:1). But for modern civilization to permit such soul-blind men to xjreach and teach their mad theories to children and receptive youth, should set us all to think ing and to acting. The Catholic Church is acting through its own educational sys tem, which implants in the minds of its youth from the first grade to post-graduate university cour ses, correct and intelligent pro mises, so that the Catholic grad uate will not be a victim of the ruinous fallacies now being spread by such blind leaders of the blind. If honesty, morality, and even intelligent thinking tfre to be sav ed for future generations, present day believers must save them. If it's anything Catholic, ask a Catholic! The first period Home Ec. class has really been shining, so naturally every body has to know. First they finished those first class aprons, then the machine covers, now they're working on curtains. They have a very artistic board ar rangement. They also have big plans for a Christmas party. The date isn't definite, but they are anxious to get it planned. Now last, but certainly not least, they | are planning to make toys and gifts for the needy. See, we told you they were really on the ball! This is of great interest to us ? basketball! To start the year off right we had a county-wide ban quet at Bolivia last Tuesday ! night. A wonderful time was had by all and the program was a success. Practice started last Monday for the local teams and thus far they are a sight to behold, main ly the beginners. Just ask Janice Trunnell how easy it is. Right now it loks as if Mr. Sanders has quite a job but never under estimate his power. The French class has been trying all week to give Professor C. N. Sanders their version of the Christmas spirit ? no quizes. Often the reply to no test request is ? "Do you have a hole in your head?"
