Szczypta-Clemmons Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Clemmons of Supply and Glenna Clemmons of Southport have announced the engagement and forthcoming mar riage of their daughter Angie to Roger G. Szczypta, sort of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Szczypta Sr. of Shallottc. The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. November 11 at Lettic's Grove Church atShallotte. Relatives and friends arc invited to attend. Military terminal celebrates its 40th Employees of Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point past and pre sent will join to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of that facility Friday, October 27. MOTSU became fully operational in October, 1955. All retirees of Sunny Point and their families are invited to join this special celebration beginning at 9 a.m. at the terminal ballpark. After a formal presentation of col ors by the South Brunswick High School JROTC Honor Guard, guests will be treated to a day of old-fash ioned fun with events like a spike driving contest, a dancing contest and even the appearance of a clown or two. A catered lunch of barbecue with all the trimmings will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. An afternoon of children’s activities has been planned. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a pumpkin carving contest, a Halloween costume contest, sack races, and an egg relay with a par New Hours: (Fall & Winter):T-W-Th.-Sun., 4pm-llpm. Bridge results Winners of last week’s game of the Oak Island Duplicate Bridge Club have been announced. Monday, October 16, winners were: first, Nell Stearns and Betty Johnson; second, Jules and Barbara Guth; third, Lilli Stainbrook and Irene Marshall. An open duplicate bridge games is held on Mondays at 1 p.m. at the Long Beach Recreation Center. The Wednesday evening game has been temporarily suspended. Eastern Star hosts honorary banquet The 19th District Order of Eastern Star will hold an honorary banquet for grand district deputy sister Catherine Donaldson on Saturday, October 28, 7 p.m., at Town Creek Township District Park.
