CEDAR FALLS Death I '.liters Home of Sheriff Marley--Psrsunal Mention. Mrs. Fred Kinney, of Winston, is visiting relatives and friends here this week. Miss Montie Jennings gave a nice little party Saturday night in honor of Mrs. Kinney, which was enjoyed very much by all. A number of our young people gave a surprise "Founding" party at the home of Mr. William Johnson. Mr. Johnson's sister, Miss Elma, is sick and her friends gave this party as a token of their sympathy and friendship. Their act is very com mendable. Misses Fannie Kinney and Mamie Elkins, of Franklinville, spent Sat urday night with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cox. Mr. T. II. DrowD, of Greensboro, has moved here and accepted a place in the mill. Fred Glass has accepted the Rail way agency here, effective Saturday February 9th. There are several cases of grippe in and near town. Mr. and Mis. Frank Davis, of Staley, were here a few days the latter part of last week. YV. 1 Moon went to Greensboro Friday morning. Mr. J. C. I'arrish, Foreman of Carpeuters on the Southern Kail way is here with u foiee covering ami repairing the depot. The Rev. Mr. J. J.Eads preached j an excellent sermon in the M. E. Cburch here Sunday night. This j is the first sermon preached i n the j new church. Mrs. W. T. W reran has been quite sick but is some better at this writ ing Death of Mrs. Sexton. Mrs. Elizabeth Sexton, wife of Mr. Pegram Sexton, died at her home in New Hope township Feb ruary 1st and was buried at Mt Ebal church by her pastor Mr. Reynolds February 2nd. Mrs. Sexton was 34 years old. She was a good neighbor, a loving wife and a good mo her and loved by all who knew her.
