Master Grady Allred, who was killed by a street car in Greensboro last Friday was brought to this place Saturday and interred in the M. E. Church cemetery Sunday morn ing. Rev C. A. Wood conducted the fun eral service . Grady was about eleven years old and was a son of lialfour Allred, of Greensboro, and a grand-son of Hev, J. F Allred, of this place. The boy was on, his wav from school and from some cause step ped in front of a moving street car and was crushed and died in a few minutes. Our people were bhoched on hearing the sad news and express much sympathy foi the sorrowing ones. Miss Lola Gray, of near Glenola, sent some time with Miss Bessie Cox last week. Ur. Win. Gross, of Durham, who has been visiting his i-itcr, Mrs. I. 1'. Mcl'her on, returned to his home last week. Mr. f.annie Hackney, of Charlotte, spent Saturday and Sunday in the cify with his parents.
