Armfield, Jr. W. H. Moling returned lust week from a business trip North. Mrs. Joe Steed, of Steeds, attend ed the funeral of Mr. Albion Wius low, here Tuesday. Miss Madaline Penn, of near Martinsville, Va., arrived Friday to spend the winter with Mrs. J. T. Penn and attend school. Miss Farla Spoon retuined Satur day from Winston-Salem, where ehe spent a week with relatives. Trinity High School opened last Monday with 106 high school pu pils. The school is steadily ad vancing; the scope of the school broadens with each term. J. Rhoten Hines, of Mt. Airy, and Miss Susie G. Nunn were married in the Methodist church at Ridge, way, Va., last Thursday. M r. Hines formerly lived in Ashe boro and has many friends here. D. E. Fields, of Leaksville, has been superintendent of the Metho dist Sunday School at that place for forty-six years, and has missed at tending only nine Sundays during that time. Rev. Henry Sheets of Lexington will begin a series of meetings at Caraway Church on Saturday night before the 5 Sunday in this month. R. C. Johnson, of Martha; E. H. Lof tin, of Riley's Store; C. C. Shaw, of New Hope Acadtmy; J. Delk, of Cox; and G. T. Murdock, of Lassiter, compose a party of Ran dolph visitors at Jamestown this week. Ed Sexton of Denton is also a member of the party. Miss Ellen Transou, of Plafftown and her two cousins, William Church of Archdale, and Miss Per ihelia Church, of Salem, who have been visiting the Misses Dettmering on Mebane street, returned to their home Saturday morning. Page, Jr.. who lust year was manager of the Trinity Park School ball team, is acting manager until his successor is elected. He has arranged games with several northern institutions for gamrs at Durham. Mr. Pige is connected with the bank at Aberdeen. The meeting which is in progrefs at the Methodist Episcopal Church, is growing in interest, liev. A. L. Stanford of Norwood, is assisting the pastor.
