Federal Court in Greensboro opened
Monday with Judge James E. Boyd
presiding. The greater part of the
docket is made up of illicit distilling
cases. The civil docket will be taken
up Wednesday.
The Methodist Protestant Children's
Home singing class of High Point will
begin their concert tour at High Point
tomorrow evening. We extend to them
a cordial invitation to visit Asheboro
Mr. D. A. Hendrix, who for several
months ran the old W. J. Miller store,
has moved the stock of goods to Reids
ville. Mr. Hendrix made many friends
while here who regret very much to

Arrangement are being made for a
new baseball park on the lot opposite
the residence of D. L. Sharp in West
Asheboro. A force of men are now
at work cleaning off the grounds and
it is hoped to have it ready for a game
in the near future.

Methodist Protestant church next bun
day evening. Rev. C. M. Compher, of
Lynchburg, will arrive Monday, tv
