The physicians in nearly all cases of serious illness, make a chemical anal ysis ef the patient's urine. He knows that unless the kidneys are doing their werk preperly, the other organs can net readily be brought back to health and strength. When the kidneys are neglected or abased in any way, serious results are sure to follow. According to health statistics, Bright's disease, which is really an advanced form of kidney trouble, caused nearly ten thosand deaths in 1913 in the state of New York alone. Therefore it behooves us to pay more attention to the health of these most important organs. An ideal herbal compound that has had remarkable success as a kidney remedy is Dr. Kilmer's Swamp-Root, the great Kidney, Liver and Bladder Remedy. The mild -nd healing influence of this preparation, in most cases, is soon realized, according to the sworn state ments and verified testimony of those who hav used the remedy. If you feeel that you kidneys require attention, and wish a sample bottle, write to Dr. Kilmer & Company, Binghamton, N. Y. Mention this pa per, enclose ten cents, and they wilf gladly forward it to you by Parcels Post. Swamp-Root is sold by every durg gist in bottles of two sizes 50c. and $1.09. WHAT IS UNDER OUR FEET?"" It is often said that the earth's sur face has "only been scratched" by man. The deepest diggings are shal low scratehings indeed when compar ed with the diameter of the globe or even with the supposed thickness of its crust. An unusually deep hole, 4489 feet, has lately been boreds in the Texa town of Spur, in an attempt to find pure artesan water. The borings give an interesting suggestion of what may be under our feet almost anywhere. In this case there are well-defined lay ers of different materials. Down to a depth of 1250 feet were found layers af sand, clay, marl, gyp sum and common sal'.. An inexhaus tible supply of salt seemed to be re vealed. There were three layers of it, all in a wonderfully pure state. The layers were respectively ten feet, five feet and nine feet in thickness. The next half mile consists of dolo mite, a crystallized carbonate of lime and magnesium. The immense depos its of this mineral are divided by thin layers of sandstone and shale. Last of all, at a depth of more than 4000 feet, come limestone and shale. What is below that no one knows. Spur is in Dickens county, near the center of the "Llano Estacado," or "Staked Plain," some times called the "Panhandle" of Texas, the part be tween New Mexico and Oklahoma. 'Children Cry FOR FLETCHER'S j CASTOR!
