Our town had the honor or dislmn or (as the different political parties of. the country may look al it) of a visit this week from S. Otlio Wilson of Gid'onlteisb infamy He came here booked for a speech as we un derstand, but so far as the general public is informed he did not get his speech off. It is believed however that he did speak, but not to the gen eral public in the brand open dav light, but to a chosen few :n the dark hours of the night, . He pretends : to be acting in the interests of the Far mers Alliance, that grand organiza tion which at one time had noble and patriotic, purposes in . view, and at one time had in its power to have wraught out great reform in the interest of the farming class of our people; but alas under the lead of such men as S. Otho Wilson it is simply a political machine run in the interest of a few ambitious demagagues whose purpose are for self rather than the best, in terest of the people; whose ambition is boodle; and not reform such men as Otho Wilson are doing as much to sow the seeds of discontent and unrest among the people as the veriest anarchist in France or Russia. Let the people watch such men bes cause they do not bring "healing up ou their wings, but ruin and despair upon their tongues.
