' Mrs. Joshua Skinner died at her home near here Sunday after noon. The funeral was held in the Episcopal church Tuesday afternoon at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Skinner leaves one daughter, Miss Bllsabeth L. Sept. 10th, 1017, the messenger whose summons is never disobeyed called at the home of Mr. William Long and carried his spirit to the place prepared for those who love the Lord. He was a lobhg father, kind neighbor and loyal friend. He leaves five children, four sons and one daughter, to follow his footsteps to the better land. Mr- Long would have gained his 78rvd milestone on life’s journey had he lived to sec the 18th of this month and * was one of the oldest members of Bethel church. He was s Con federate soldier fighting nearly the entire term of the Civil War. He was alee a soldier of the Oroee and did not fear to meet *the last enemy, often wishing fa* ft to come.
