Later the movement grew as other chap ters took It up and passed upon It. The State convention of U. D. C. endorsed the plan last October at Winston-Salem. Tablets of bronze are to measure 24x28 inches, and will be placed at the intersection of each State on the Lee Highway. The North Carolina daughters hopa to ratoe $600 to pay for a die from which the tablets are to be cast. Other States Will pay $US each for the tablets to be used upon th Lee Highway.
