Lyday of Green ville, were guests Sunday of Dr. and Mrs. H, J. Bradley. Mrs. W. M. Lyday and Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Mitchell were guests last week of Dr and Mrs. Frank Wells, In Jack son, Tenti. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell have returned, but Mrs. Lyday remain ed for a longer visit with her daughter and family. Dr. Wells Is a professor In Union University In Jackson. MUSIC CLUB IN LAST MELTING OF CLUB YEAR In Its last meeting of the r'.ub year, the Brevard Music Lovers' club met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. J. B. Jones at her new home on the Coun try Club road, with Mrs. Knox Do Long as hostess. After a short business session a very Interesting and Instructive pro gram on Oratorios was presented by Mrs. Jack Dendy Mrs. J. E. Ixiftls and Mrs. J. M. Allison. As a special feature, Mrs. Allison sang "O, Rest In the Lord," from the oratorio Eli jah. As a closing number on the pro gram. the club sang, "The Spacious Firmament," from Haydn’s Creation. Miss Alma Cade, who has been a substitute member this year for Miss Irene Clay, expresed her appreciation to the club for having been a member. Delicious refreshments w'ere served by the hostess at conclusion of the meeting. GARDEN CLUB TO MEET FRIDAY AFTERNOON The May meeting of the Brevard Garden club will be held Friday af ternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Constance Pendleton Banks on Probart street. The program on wild flowers will be In charge of Mrs. J. \V. Smith, who has Invited state horticul turists to speak on the subject. It Is urged that all members be present. WILLIAMS The May meeting of the Homemak ers class of the Baptist church met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Turner Williams. Mrs. John Ashworth, president, pre sided and read the scripture lesson. An Interesting program was given by Mrs. J. A. Crisp, reading an article on "Wasted Elfe,” and Mrs. W. T.
