The last community meeting was a
great success. The most interesting
features were the talks cf Messrs. J.
D. Sink and C. C. Proffitt, Misses Bar
row and Wallace. Miss Wallace is the
district agent. Besides the talks a
program was carried out.
The canning club met on Wednesday
afternoon, and went on a marshmallow
rorst, Miss Wallace and Mr. Proffitt
being along they made interesting talks.
We did not think of Miss Barraw re
signing. While we regret very much
to give her up we gladly welcome Miss
Eva Login.
The house in which Mr. Tom Goode
lives, and is owned by Mr. J. R.
Morrow, is being greatly improved by

painting.
Mr. Austin Divenny of Old Fort is
visiting his sister, Mrs. A. B. Price.
Mr. Divenny has with him a phonograph
which he made himself. We advise
those who are thinking of purchasing
one to see his before buying.
Miss Sizzie Tones surprised her sister,
Ossie, by entertaining a number of
their friends in honor of her birthday.
Those who were present enjoyed Miss
es Tones hospitality.
Mr. Max Smith, son of Mr. J. D.
Smith, spent a few days at home last
week ■ m ■ m,
Therp eople in the community seenmo

Messrs. Tom Goode and J. D. Smith
went on a business trip to Harris.
Among the ones that have moved in
to the community are the families of
: Messrs. Hicks, Haynes and Vickers.
Aunt "Dosh" Goode was seen bring

Are you blue? Do you feel as though
you were forgotten or overlooked in the
distribution of life's good things? Then
you want to see MARY PICKFORD in
"Pollyanna," whose charm is not one
of face or dress alone, but principally
of personality. She is a sunbeam look
ng out from "freckled face and dress
of red gingham. " Her story is certain
ly a sunshine-maker.
