PRUETT—McCURRY A very pretty and impressive Wedding ceremony was solemnized last Thursday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. U, S. McCurry when their attractive daugl ter, Ima, became the oride of Mr. George Pruett, the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Pruett. ' Rev. J. Keever, the bride's pastor, offic iated and pronounced the words that blended these two young lives into one. Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party went direct to the home of the groom's parents at Lakeview, where a sumptious weddng din ner was served. Both the bride and groom are among Cliffsire's most popular young people and have the best wishes of a host of friends for a bon voyage on life's sea. Mr. G. B. Pruett, of Ellen boro, and great uncle of the groom was the only out of town guest. It is to be a very elaborate and swell wedding, and very much in terest is being manifested in the preparation for it. Wigs are be ing secured, dresses and hats made, etc. There will be fifty or more participants and al though the auditorium will seat about one thousand it is expect ed to be filled next Saturday night. BASKET BALL In a very interesting game of Basket Ball played on the local court last Thursday ''light the Boiling Springs High School easily defeated the Cliffside Mills Store team, 48 to 10. The B. S. H. S. boys played a good clean game and showed splendid team work which is only acquired by practice. Our boys showed the need of more practice and team work.
