C. them Friday, operate only THE FOREST CITY COUEIEK PAVING RESOLUTION At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Forest City the following resolution was adopted: Petitions having been filed with the Clerk of the Board signed by a majority of the property owners rep resenting the frontage on certain streets therein named requesting the paving of said streets and sidewalks, said petitions having been considered and approved it is therefore upon motion and second and by unanimous vote of said board, resolved, that the following streets and sidewalks duly petitioned for within the town of Forest City be paved with cement or other substantial paving material, as follows: Street Only. West Main street from west side of square to Harrill's Filling Sta tion. Streets and Sidewalks Broadway street from the Over head bridge to F. T. Davis' property. Magnolia 'street from East Main street to Pine street. It is further resolved that the said streets and sidewalks shall be paved as shown by the specifications and made a part of this ordinance and that same shall be improved as therein set forth. It is further resolved that one fourth of the total cost of the said street improvement shall be taxed against the abutting property own ers on either side of same, the other one-half of the cost thereof shall be paid by the town of Forest City, and that one-half of the cost of each of the said sidewalks shall be paid by the abutting property owners and the other one-half thereof shall be paid by the town of Forest City, and that the said property owners shall be given five years in which to pay the amount due by them on said as sessment, paying one-fifth each year and that the same shall draw inter est at the rate of six per cent per an num from the date of the adoption of the assessment roll. It is further resolved that a flat discount of five per cent shall be given on all deferred payments to persons paying cash for same. This 3rd day of April, 1925. J. S. BRIDGES, Mayor. J. E. HOME DEMONSTRATION CLUB MEETS Forest City, R-2, April 6.—Mrs. Mcßrayer met with the members of the Home Demonstration Federated Clubs who were privileged to be pres ent on Monday, April 6th. The at tendance was small owing to much illness in the county. Mrs. Grant Ellen, president of the Federated Clubs, who had recently undergone an operation was present. Mrs. Allen is an exceptionally fine club worker and her return was hail ed with much satisfaction. Mrs. Mcßrayer accompanied by Miss Martha Creiehton, spent last week scoring the kitchens of the club members who have entered the Better Kitchen Campaign and gave out much valuable information to those planning improvements in the kitchens. At Monday's meeting the subject was thoroughly discussed. Much en thusiasm is being manifested and will result in more comfortable and pleas ant work shops for the home mak ers.
