Z, Hafrlf of Branch At last Ihursday's election Rich Lquare township gave a clear ma jority for the whole Democratic ticket for the first time in forty years. The vote was more than two to one in favor of the Democrats. The new Northampton board of oouxty commissioners, elected last Thursday and to qualify first of December, is one of the best the county has had for years. The; are well selected as to occupation, three of them Powell, Parker and Martin being farmers and the terestedTnfarmmg.Tfey'arVjTiWfc who have been successful in man aging their own affairs and they will be careful and economical in disbursing the county funds. Northampton will be well rep resented in the next Legislature. Representative Harris is a young man of ability and sound judg ment, a practicing lawyer, bat who was broDght up on a farm and knows the needs of the people. Senator Calvert is also a man o! ability and large experience. His large acquaintance with men and afiaira will enable him to make just decisions on the important questions to come up in the Legis lature. Both Mr. Harris and Mr. Calvert are broad minded men who wilt not be hasty in forming opin ions or arriving at oonclusions.and we believe they will work lor the best interest of the entire State They will go to Raleigh unpled-e. to any man, clique or combination, save to work for the best interest of the entire people, and oar peo ple can rest assured that ttey will be instrumental in getting through no legislation that will be hurtful to their interest without due no tice being given that all may be heard. . :ATew;Facts'r Worth Noting .
