It is reported on what appears to be excellent authority, that the Atlantio Coast Line has made a ountract for the construction of a bridge here over Koanoke tivei. rhe bridge will be placed above the Seaboard Air Line Bridge and (he trains will come in at what is now the rear of the hotel on an elevation of about twenty five feet Ihe hotel is to be remodeled and a convenient elevated station will be cOLetructed at the west end of he hotel and the waiting rooms, ticket office etc., will be on the second floor. Ihe bridge will be much higher from the water than the Seaboard bridge is and a long trestle will stretch from the river to the hotel, and for a considerable distance beyond, coming back to tbe present grade abont the coal chute. At the Third street creas ing there will be sufficient eleva tion of the main track to allow vehicles to pass nnder. It is learn ad that work on the bridge will be begun at an early day.
