ARRESTED IN NORFOLK.
Deputy sheriff W. O. Williams re-
turned Monday from Norfolk where
he went to get David Smith a white
man wanted here on the charge of
abandonment. Mr. Smith was locat-
ed and brought back without anyj
trouble. He did not ask lor ex. j
tradition papers but came volun-
tarily. He was committed to jail on!
arrival in Beaufort. He lived in
Beaufort until about a year ago and
his family is living here now.
