She left a husband father, four children and many friends to weep after her. She was a very good lady, loved and respected by all who knew her. Reverend Bennett, pastor of Eliza beth City church, is now conducting revival services at the Methodist church Services began Saturday night Mr. Alex Scott, from Florida, has! been visiting relatves during the past week. He left Monday morning for Florida. MERRIMON NEWS ITEMS. Dan Eubanks and family who have lived on the Nelson farm now belong ing to George Best, since last winter has moved to Morehead City. Mr. T. R. Bacon of Norfolk, Va., is in our neighborhood visiting rela tives and friends. John H. Carraway and little son of Pollocksville, Jones county motor ed here Sunday and spent the week -end with his brother Rev. J. M. Car raway and family. Rev. Mr. Leeand wife and little son were over Saturday and spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Ball. He preached two excellent sermons for us Sunday morning and evening. Misses Mildred and Elva Salter, who are students at St. Paul's school Beauifort came home Saturday on the mail boat.
