title to all property sold in fee
simple, free and clear of all en
cumbrances, rights, interests and
claims, except the lien of othet
taxes and assesments as provided
foi herein, and all property own
ers are hereby given notice that
at the completion of these sales
the purchaser or new owner shall
he placed in possession of the prop
erty by the Sheriff, and the orig
inal or former owner shall be im
mediately dispossessed).
Under and pursuant to author
ity contained in Chapter 310,
Chapter 1720, Public Laws 1939,
and by authority of certain execu
tions issued by the Superior Court
of Carteret County under date of
December 1, 1940, dealing with
1937 and 1938 County taxes, and
service having been made and had
upon the listing taxpayers and or
property owners as hereinafter
listed and enumerated, and as re
quired under said executions, and
in order to comply with the law
demanding either collection of the
amount or amounts set out in said
executions or the sale of the
property or properties listed for
taxes and subsequently described
in the executions aforesaid, the
undersigned Sheriff will offer for
sale and will sell for cash, subject
to a.l other taxes which may be
due md owing either the County
or i.ny other taxing unit within
the ''ounty, at the Court House
doo in Beaufort, Carteret Coun
ty, North Carolina, beginning at
9:C0 o'clock A. M., on February
25, 1942,
