Hon. and Mrs. R. W, Scott were in town Monday he gave us a pleasant call. One of our young sports secu red a horse and buggy from H. E. McPherson last Sunday and left early 'in the morning for Orange Grove to see his best girl he came back all smiles she must have bid him come again, we won’t tell on you this tini6. Mrs. Edith Williamson who is bordering ninety-seven years left for Durham and other points east Saturday, she was hearty_ and lively and the only parent living about her that had boys in Lee s Army. Quite a number of our boys went over to Danville on a wagon last week, came back and repo.rt a good time. After a two weeks vacation the Regina Hosiery Mill resumed work. Mhs Emma Cates who has been spending some days at Dur ham came home Saturday night bright and cheerful. S. J. Crawford and Miss Grace his niece of Paragould, Ark., spent Sunday night with his sis ter Mrs. G, W. P. Cates after a pleasant night they three in com pany with another sister Mrs. M. E. Workman left for Orange Grove to visit their sister Mrs. L. M. Cates and brother W. Craw ford they wili have a reunion and ramble over the paths of their boy and girlhood days sweet memories will cluster around them, ’tis sweet to visit the old home in after years. The Rural Carriers and^patrons basket picnic will be held on Monday Sept. 5th. at Harden’s Park on the street car li^ne bet ween Burlingron and Graham.
