Mr. Spoon is a graduate of the Kansas City Veterinary College and Mr. Hornaday two years training in this school. Mr. Hornaday will spend his vacation here, after which he will • return and complete his course. They are located on Main Stieet, op posite the Grotto. Miss lola Albright of No. 7, who won the highest vote in the recent subscription contest con ducted by the Durham Sun, left yesterday for New York accom panied by her sister. Miss Flora Albright, where they will embt rk for the fr°e trip to Bermuda. They will be gone about two weeks and we bespeak fo“ them a pleasant and profitable trip. Fire was discovered Tuesday night by parties returning from the show, at the home of Mr. Chas. Moser on Cameron Street. The alarm was given and the fa mily aroused to find their home in a burning blaze. Little proi>- erty was saved. The dwelling a five room cottage was owned by the Piedmont Trust Co. Fortu nate for Mr. Moser his property was insured'. . A large, delegation from our town was present at the Baraca- Philathea Convention which met at Greensboro Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Near fifteen hun dred delegates were present. The Baraev met in the First Baptist church and the PhfTatheas in West Market Methodist church.
