HAPPY RFmiS Washington, D. C., July 10, 191£ —The-intense heat that has spi^ad over th^- xsoutitry this summer has had effect of check ing some of tTie debate in the Senate on the reciprocity bill. It is now believed that the bill will tJg finally pas^^ ‘ by Aug. 1st, which President Taft will prompt ly sign, and thus our trade with Can^a will spread and develop, thus adding to the prosperity of both countries. Congi^css has decided to make an investigation of the business of the great Express Companies with a view to establishing a par cel post in connection with the post office department. The Ex press Companies have filed new rates with the Interstate Com merce Commission, gi'.'eatly re ducing the former rates of trans portation. This shows that they are afraid of a parcel jwst. Con gressmen and Senators have been receiving many stron letters from their constituents from all parts of the country urging them to pass the parcel post bill, and it is not believed that it will be very much longer before such will be done. We are far ^hind Euro pean countries which have had parcel posts for many years. One l^andr»d PoHars Bewa^ for iai>y of Catarrh caiMiot o cured \m HalFs tJatan h Cure, i ' r.
