S, Zaugg, of Albemarl N. C., will preach at St. Mark’s Reformed Church at 11 a.m. next Sunday at Whitsett at 3 p. m., and at the Burlington Reformed Church at 7 p. m. All friends , are ihvited to hear him. Rev. J. D. Williams will preach special sermons next Sunday morning and night at the M. P. church, these being his last ap pointments before the annual conference, which will be held at Henderson, beginning Thurs day, November 23rd. Rev. and Mrs. A. B. Kendail of Virginia arrived this, Wednes day, morning and will move into the parsonage. We join this congregation and its many friends in extending greetings to Rev. Kendall who becomss pas tor of the Christian church. The annual meeting of t| e North Carolina and Virginia Christian conference will con vene in annual session atBethle- ham Church, Altamahaw, Tues day, November 21st. He w.il have to get them thrashed pretty sooii he can’t get to bed. We all feel sorrow for him. Miss Bessie Murchison left last Saturday to take her school at Staley, N. C. last Monday. Prof. Thomas C. Carter and Miss Hifield starts school ,. next Monday at Pleasant Hill, hope they ,will have a successful school. Mr. M: F, H. made a nice and pleasant trip last Friday night from John HiriBhaws husking a call at the widows. Miss Dora had the misfortune of falling in a side ditch. Minnie Hodgin and Lizzie Pick ett vigited at S. T. Pikes last Sat urday and Sunday. Mr. French Duncan carried Minnie Hodgin home from Pikes. Look out for mail now. George Pike was in serious trouble over his best girl Sunday, we feel sorry for him. Guess he saw Bessie that night aiid he was releived. Lizzie Pickett had company Sunday night, J. Hinshaw. He seems to cail often, think he has most cut Worthy out. Guess he is proud of that, think he will do fine to get her. She is a smart girl. , : We ^re all prejparing frr a teii tos meding to begin at Pleasant Union the fourth Sunday in this month. Everybody invited to come. Looking forward for a good meeting. Guess large crowds will attend both, Sun days. Charlie Moody is preparing to build him a new house, two story one. Guess he wants some one to live with him. As there' is,^ot much news on Route 3 this week we will write again, if this does not go in the waste basket. Wonder if Lizizie and 10.2. S is fixing to marry Xmas.
