Mr. Moore from Richmond, Va.
stayed all nigh at Isaac Hinshaw
one night last week and bought
a sideboard from Mrs. Hinshaw
that belonged to her gi’andl ather
Archibald Ferguson, No one
knows how old ic is. I think it,
was sold for the worth of it, she
got 135 for it. Now it will be
shipped to Richmond, Va.

Our friend Mark Bennett the

it was after 12 o’clock when he
got home that night.

rival of a httle girl who arrived
at their home Sunday night. We
hope they will raise it for the
Good Lord who gave it to them.

The many friends of J. M. Trol-
inger and family have the sym
pathy of the friends in the loss
of their daughter who died at
Luther, I^., Dec. 2, 1911. She
married Mr. E. F. Jones and left
this part of the country in search
of a fortune. She leaves a hus
band and three children. Anoth»

Mr. George Holt of Burlington
was in town Sunday. He said
his foot had not been on the
ground at Haw River in forty
years. U.ncle George is known
as the bockege runner in time' of
the Civil War', s He said he prom*
ised the people in Eurbpe to go
thereafter the'war was over and
■go to raising sheep,, but >he liked
the Southland the best and there
ne cast his lot. He has many
friends throughout the country.
