If You Had To Raise
$1000 Cash Today-
Could you do so without borrowmg? This is
a question worthy of sober consideration.
You never know when you are going to need
money, on short notice, for sickness, accident,
or fire.
These unforseen and unsuspected evils are
always imminent.
Then, too, the matter of investments makes
ready cash a mighty attractive proposition to
the wide awake man.
Of course, vou can borrow, but how much
better to have money of your own in the bank,,
always re^y at your beck and call!
Don't wait until you have to

Salisbury, June 16. — A tragedy
when Frank D. Chunn sent a ball
through the heart of his sweet
heart tonight shortly after nine
6‘clock, Miss Buraadette Roue-
che and then turning the pistol
on himself sent a ball cr^hing
through his brain.
The young couple had attend
ed services at Sacred Heart Ca-
ohc church together and had re
turned and were on the porch of
the residence of an uncle of the
dead girl where the shooting
t/viV Tlla^•P
ChLles Gable and Miss Hor-
tense Roueche were with them at
the time but had gone behind,
the house to a well to get water
when a pistol shot was heard.
Gable ran around to the porch
and sawXhunn with the smoking
pistol inhis hand. On beifig ask
ed what was the trouble Chunn
pointing the pistol at Gable told
him to stand back and turned the
weapon on himself with the re
sult as slated. ^
Miss Roueche died instanly
while Chunn lived a half an hour
but never regained consciousness.
The shooting was done with a 38
caliber pistol. A wound was
found on the temple of the dead
woman and many are inclined t-o
believe that she was struck be
fore being fired upon.
Miss Roueche was the daugh
ter of Mrs. Margaret Roueche
and a neice of J. X.
