Nothing, however, could then be done to extinguish the fire for in a very few minutes the entire mill wj^ in flames. All the books and goods, in fact everything in the office w^ saved- The origin of the fire is unknown but is sup posed to have caught from the engine room. The loss is esti mated at $10,000. The Bev, Albert Peele of Guil ford College pieached at Cane Creek Sunday, JUst Saturday night the girls of Sn^- Camp gave a “L^p year Party" at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Durham.
