Chicago, June 19.-^Ro^velt members of the credentials com mittee acting under the Specific orders of Colonel Roosevelt broke out of thectrbmitteeroom at 10:- 30 toniglkt aftCT a£ttemptiftg to beat open the doors and bring all newspaper men into the room. The doors of the committee room were suddenly thrown open by J. J. Sullivan of Ohio,; who rushed out with the cry, ‘All Roosevelt men walk out. ” He was followed by Hugh T.; Halbert of Minnesota, Fra^ncis J. Heney of CJalifomia, George L. Record of New Jersey, and other Roosevelt men. As they pushed open the swinging doors after SulUvan they cried out to the newspaper men: “All newspaper men come in side and see what they are try ing to do to us.” Colonel Thayer, assistant ser- geant-at-arms, shouted to the k(K)rkeeper to admit no one. The Roosevelt forces shouted again for every one to come in. Mr. Tiller called for policeman who pushed their way through and kept crowd from getting in. The Roc^evelt men rushed out, saying they were actitjg under orders of Colonel Roosevelt. “Everybody go to the Floren tine room at uie (Jpnj^ess $h6ut^ ^ one man. Hiey rushed outside, followed by iJie crowd and in the street outside the Coliseum they were overtaken by Secretary William Hayward. “Why did you act that way?” he demanded of Heney. “Why did you not wait until some rules had been past?” “We are acting under the di rect orders of Colonel Roosevelt, ” retorted Heney. “We are obeying a better gen eral than you,” shouted George L. Record of New Jersey. ‘ ‘He told us to leave that room and we did it.” Hugh T. Halbert declared the brake came as the result of the refusal of the majority in the committee to open up all evidence in the cases. Mr^ Halbert pre sented resolutions asking that the temporary roll of the conven tion be considered only as prima facie evidence of the right of delegates to sit; and that ail evi dence, testimony be gone into. ^ He declared the committee re fused to do this and attempted to “gag” th^ minority by making rules that would have left the action of the national committee as practically decisive in all the contests. Mr. Heney later came back to the lobby and urged the Roose velt contestants tp to the Florencp room of. the Congress where the ifeosevelt headquart ers are located and be hi^d by the members of the credentials committee representing Roose velt. ^rrmie Ptctiire ^ Sufltriig Clinton, jKy.—M*i. M.' C. Me Elroy, in a letter from Clinton, writes:" For six yel^, I was a sufferer from female troubles. I could not eat, and CQuld not stand on my feet, without suffering great pain. I had lost hope. After using Cardui a week, I be^n to improve. Now I feel better than in six years.” Fifty ye^s of success in actual practice, is positive proof, furnished by those who have used it, that Cardui can always be relied on for re- lie-dng female weakness and distease.
