r-T^. Clipped Froni The Yellow Jacket. valuable advice. Doc Wilson is academic: he is sophomoric—but he'll look like a freshman hazed at North Caro lina's University about Novem ber 6th. A vote against Wilson is a vote to keep the factories open and give the American wage earner a decent wage. Vote true and you'll never regret it. The Progressive is an evolution. The Socialist party declares it is a revolution. That's difference enough. If Wilson is elected the work ing people as well get ready for free soup and idleness, for that is the next station over the hill. Willyum Jabberwhack Bryan says that Woodrow Wilson will carry every state in the Union. Poor Old Bill, do you believe in , a hell? I Vote it straight for the Bu!i | Moose. He stands for protection j and we all know we can't afford to have a Democatie free trade i show—and ail the factories close. i If the Democrats really believe { that Wooerow Wilson is going to win then we don't blame them for not wanting to contribute much to the campaign fund. They know they will need their money bad enough in a few months. Governor Marshall says Roose velt left the Republican party because of the non-support—but that wasn't it. He got ail the he wan ted from the Republican— his was the parting of the ways with bosses only. Should Wilson win it won't be three week still you will hear Democrats saying they wish to God it hadn’t a-happened. And hi less than three >ears it will have ripened into a veritable cyclone. Haven’t you heard ministers I preach against Sunday base ball and open saloons? To be sure y ou have; But lots of them don' t mean a> word of it. Woodrow Burlifigton Citizens Should Profit By The FoUowing Statement* Doan's Kidney Pills cured this Burlington resident. Their mew it was shown—the story told. Now comes further evidence. The testimony is confirmed. Thfe remedy was tested—the cure lasted. Could Burlington resid ents demand stronger proof? It's Burlington testimony. It can be investigated. . . Mrs. Ella Hughes, Dixie St., Burlington, N. C., saya: I glad ly verify the statement I have previously given recommending Doan’s Kidney Pills. This rem edy never fails to bring me en tire relief when I have occasion to use it. I suffered from back ache, caused by week kidneys and I also had dizzy spells. Pe-ru-na and Ka-tar-no I have reeelwdt a letter frona a young lady, w^ho asks me: “'I s the old Pe-rw-na (Ka-tar*no) bat ter than the re vised Pe-nl-na?” ®lther medS' cine has its place. One i» adapted for one' condition, anoth- er for another. Ka-tar-no is a better remed-y for some condi tions than the S. B. Hitrtman. M.D4 revised Pe-ru- na. On the other hand, the revlised Pe-ru-na la a better remedy f&r some conditions than Ka-tar-no, They are both In tended aa catarrh remedies. They have both done a great work to relieving catarrh, chronic and acote. Many hundreds of cases of chronic catarrn have recovered while-tafclnc Ka-tar-no snd the same is true of the revised Pe- ru-na during the last six. years since its revision. There is a difference; bovrever, in the two remedies. Whenevssr catarrh is associated with constipation then the revised Pe-ru-na is the best. In deed, this is exactly why the revision was made, to meet such^ cases. But where no laxative is needed, where the bowels are regrular or inclined to be loose, then the old Pe-ru-na (Ka-tar- no) is the better remedy. The revised Pe-ru-na is for sale at all drug stores. Mrs. D. F. Washe of Chicago, their mother, sent them down to "interview” the colonel. Their method was to cry lustily as each was taken on his left arm. “They are good Bull Moosv'} timber,” smiled Colonel Roose velt to I he nurses; “they aren’t afraid to voice their protest against a situation or condition they believe unjust. Congratu late their mother for me.^' Mrs. Roosevelt gave the babies | a motherly pat as they v/ere be ing taken back to their mother. Three little girls—Evely Ap pleton, 9 years old; Florence Hubert, 8 and Viola Kraft, 12— living a few blocks from the hospital, today pooled the savings in their toy banks and invested the fund, amounting to $1.35, in roses and carnations, garnished! with fern leaves and put together by their own hands and brought them to Colonel Roosevelt. The colonel directed that the flowers replace costly orchids in a vase at his bedside. Then he sent the children a bunch of lilies of the valley. Mrs. Roosevelt took the flowers to them.
