Asheville, July 3. —The second i session of the North Carolina Bar association which began its fifteenth annual convention at the Battery Park hotel last night was heard this morning and was largely attended. Other mem bers of the association arrived this morning^ and the attendance ss now estimated at 150. The first two sessions have been in teresting and the convention promises to be one of the most successful ever held by the asso ciation. , Judge Robert W, Winston, of Durham was the principal speak er at this morning's session, Ms subject was, “JudicialReform,” and he urged that the present judicial system be simplified. His plan as presented is to cut' out all needless technicalities. Durham, July 4 --A derail ment on the Southern near Mor rison ville early this morning caus ed a great delay in the traffic. A freight train was derailed and the track was so torn up that it was impossible to get the pas senger trains by. The west bound train due here at 3:30 o’clock in the morning did not get here till about 7 and then the trip was made around by Apex.
