The directors of the (Miarlotte Li brary association met this afternoon at the office of Dr. Uoorge Graham for the purpose of selecting and or dering new books They intended doing this earlier but by numerous delays it was postponed until to-day. Most nf the books contributed by th ) people of Charlotte have bon received and stored away and among them are many rare and val uable works. The Hliel ving has not as yet beei received but it will be here very shortly. In the meantime the carpets will be put down and by the time this Ih completed, the fur niture will arrive and everything will be in readiness for the reception of the books. Mrs. 15. L. Dpwcy, the librarian, has appointed ten ludiew in each ward to canvass for members and hooks and so fur success has awarded their efforts. At the I'ark. Fat la Park was thronged all day Sunday with fresh air-seekers, and in this beautiful resort they found it.
