Miss Fannie Gresham returns to night from Chester, S. C, where she has been visiting friends for the flast week Mr W H. Wood returned today, from Greensboro, where he spent Sunday with relatives. It is a birthday party and everybody is asked to bring as -many pennies as they are years old, and as many more pennies as they hope to be years older. The Tea is under the management of Mrs. Fry and Mrs. Lillard, and this in sures a good tyne to all who will at tend. There will be several ways of entertainment and each guest will be entertained without being made to feel that effort is being made in his behalf. There was no delivery of mail by carriers today from the local post office, but the carriers' windows were open from noon until 1.30 p. m., and a large amount of mail was called for. The mails were generally late to day on account of the severe 'weather Sunday arid last night.
