The Radical Antipodes.
Australasia, with its numerous ex
periments in an almost socialistic
government, especially in New Zea
land. is showing a keen interest In
all radical books, even those which
deal with conditions, so foreign to
Australasia as those of America. Re
cent large orders for “The Chasm,’'
by George Cram Cook, and “The Vis
ioning,” by Susan Glaspell, radical
African novels show this interest.
