Landis one of three aldermanlc''representatives of the city from Ward 3 will tender his resigna tion at an early meeting of the board, probably Friday night, he having re moved from Ward 3 to Ward 9. The handing in of a resignation In such a case is merely a matter of formanl- ity, since membership on the board ceases automatically^ when a member removes from the ward he was chosen to represent. It has been a customfor an alderman thus retiring from the board to sug gest his successor, his election baing left to the board of aldermen. Whom Mr. Landis will suggest as bis success or is not known, but his suggestion will be a matter of interet. Mr. Landis has served on the board for six months^ and has served his constituents in an able manner. 1 We Have Received a Large ^tock -OF- Standard Coal No Wet or Dirty Coal as it is all kept under cover./ WE MBK YOUR INSPECTION Standard Ice & Fuel Go.
