Seniors, juniors, sophomores,
and -yes, even freshmen- do you
have any grievances about UNC-C?
If so, the Student Legislature is
giving you a chance to let off
steam ttirough the Ways and Means
Committee. The purpose of this
committee is to listen toanytliing-
gripes or praise- from the stu
dents themselves.
Open meetings will beheldinthe
Union, the first on Wednesday,
September 27, at 12:00 in Room
209. Anyone who wishes to issue
a complaint or feels that some
thing needs investigation, is invited
to attend. If the matter cannot
be handled during the meeting, the
committee, headed by Diane Har
gett, will investigate all possibi
lities. Being a standing committee
in tlie Student Legislature, it holds
the power to introduce new bills,
if a situation calls tor such action.
The Ways and Means Commit
tee, formed last year by the llni-
vcrsitv Party, is a fairly new
addition to t!ie Legislature. The
committee members feel that they
can do much tor the benefit of
the student body, but only if the
students themselves co-operate by-
informing the committee of situ
ations that need improving.
