The 49’er Bowling Team, coach
ed by Dean Don MacKay, had a
winning month in December as
they out-bowled Ljmchburg Col
lege and N. C. Wesleyan College
and tied St. Andrews College.
In the St. Andrews match, the
49’ers took one game and ended
the match with high points, 2447
to 2388. Stephen Lee and Kurt
Taube had high games of 192.
In league standings, Charlotte was
fourth ranked.
Against Lynchburg, the team
took all three games in the match
and had high points, 2532 to 2379.
Kurt Taube of Charlotte had high
series, 551. The 49’ers moved
from fourth place to third place
edging out College of Charles
ton.
49’ers Gerald Hensley and
Donald Hidgins took high game
and high series respectively
against N. C. Wesleyan—a game
the team won 2556 to 2134 in
points.
In the latest standings, the team
is still ranked third in the Dixie
Intercollegiate Athletic Con
ference. The 49’ers have won 9
games and lost 3. The team ave
rage is 836, the highest game is
933 and the high series is 2556.
