Peace Corps Representative To Be On Campns Friday Miss Janice D. Pawlowski will March 15, representing the Peace be on campus through Friday, Corps. Unique European Tour For Students Janice D, Pawlowski NO JOKE! NO HITCH! Would you believe that for $555 you can enjoy a 21-day tour through Bava ria, Austria, and Switzerland this August? A North Carolina Wes leyan College professor, Vance Mizelle, will lead a group of about 30 on the ALPINE CAMPING TOUR this summer, the first of a series of college-oritented trips under the aegis of Lufthansa German Airlines. The group wUl fly jet to Germany on August 3, travel private chartered bus on an iti nerary which includes Munich, Ob- erammergau, Garmisch, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Berchtesgaden, Zurich, Lucerne, and Interlaken — and all the camping gear will be included in the price of the tour! Highlights of the tour will be a sampling of Munich's famous “gemutlichkeit,” the music fes tivals of Salzburg and Bregenz, Four New Appointments Made, Two Dept. Chairman and excursions to the Jui^rau and Mt. Pilatus in the Swiss Alps. Although many Americans imagine camping to be carrying a pack on your back, chopping down trees and pitching a tent Davy Crpckett fashion, this is not true at all. European camp sites afford the vacationer a great many features to help him be clean, comfortable, and happy. In ten major cities where the Mizelle family camped, a few years ago, all sites were either within or almost within the city limits. It’s a lot more fun and more pleasant that you might have thought. Camping in Europe is an excit ing and unique kind of holiday travel. And at $555 it beats any other peak-season tour. It may be within your means. If you would like a folder and further informa tion, drop a card to Vance Mizelle, North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount, N. C. 27801. She will answer questions about Peace Corps programs and ser vice on the basis of her experi ence as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica. Says Miss Pawlowski, “As a Peace Corps Volunteer and health educator, I worked in a health clinic teaching the principles of health to all incoming patients according to their greatest needs.’’ “Extracurricular activities in cluded working with the YMCA in conducting swimming classes, health classes, weight-lifting and modem dance,” she continued. The Peace Corps desk will be set up in the Union Lobby.
